Rahul is an alumni of Eastern Illinois University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing. Rahul is the Agency Principle at his own company; LLT Group, Inc. Rahul is extremely passionate about his career and finds the greatest challenge yet the biggest reward in his work life. Rahul enjoys watching his favorite Chicago teams, the Bears, the Bulls, and the White Sox. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as grilling, gardening, and catching a round of golf with his dad, brother, and friends whenever he can get out on the course.
Rahul is extremely passionate about everything he does in his life and he always puts forth all of his creativity and energy in life’s experiences. Being involved in his networks and communities, he finds a great need to be a philanthropist and an advocate for people with special needs.
One thing that people may not know about Rahul is that he would do anything in the world for anyone that ever came to him with a need.
Kate is an alumni of Eastern Illinois University, where she studied special education and elementary education. She furthered her education at Benedictine University where she earned her Masters of Educational Administration degree in 2011. Kate is in her fourth year of teaching special education at Traughber Junior High in Oswego, Illinois. Kate is passionate about her career and even more passionate about
helping people.
Kate is a big fan of Pinterest, shopping, baking, wearing sweatpants, watching movies (chick flicks, of course), spending time with Rahul, and playing a good game of fetch with
her dog Ace.
Kate finds joy in the simple things in life, such as, anything that is pink or sparkly, presents, and surprises. One thing that people may not see or know about Kate is that she finds more pleasure in seeing her family and friends have everything that they want than in her having the things that she wants.
Rahul and Kate made plans with some friends to go away on a cruise to the Bahamas over spring break in March of 2012. They went away and the trip went off without a hitch… it also went off without a proposal! Kate found out after Rahul proposed to her in April that he had originally planned on proposing while they were on their cruise in March. He had carried the engagement ring everywhere they went on their vacation, but the time was never right. Talk about a nervous man carrying a ring around! That brings us to the week of the proposal. Rahul contacted the principal at Kate’s school to ask for permission to propose to her at school. Once he got the “OK”, he talked to Kate’s parents and his parents to make arrangements for them to be at Kate’s
school for the proposal as well. Rahul even arranged for a photographer to be there (Thanks Jason). The afternoon of Friday, April 13, 2012 was an afternoon that they will never forget. One of Kate’s friends, Angie, creatively got Kate out of her classroom full of students so that Rahul and his entourage could quickly set up in her classroom. When Kate got back to her classroom, she walked in and found Rahul down on one knee. At first, all she saw was Rahul, and this lighted box with a shiny, sparkly something in it. She was stunned, so stunned that Rahul had to ask her to walk into the room. Behind Rahul stood Kate’s class holding a banner that read “Kate, will you marry me?” After Rahul proposed and Kate, of course, accepted, a limo picked them
up from Kate’s school and they were off to celebrate with dinner in the city. But that wasn’t it for the surprises that Rahul had planned. After dinner, they got a hot fudge sundae from Ghirardelli (one of their traditions every time they go to the city) and when they walked outside, a carriage with a horse named Fiona awaited to take them on a horse drawn carriage ride through the city. Kate thought the surprises were done for the night, but Rahul had one more up his sleeve. The limo dropped them off at Rahul’s parents house where Kate was surprised with a celebration with their friends and family. It was truly a magical, breathtaking, fairytale of a day for them and they can’t wait to continue their fairytale as husband and wife on June 21st, 2013.

Adhir is Rahul’s younger brother. He maybe be younger, but is looked up to in many regards. He is married to Shristhi, who creates the perfect man within him. Rahul cherishes his relationship with Adhir as they have always been very close to each other. Constantly learning from each other, these brothers have built family bonds that are rooted for growing years to come. Adhir manages the family business where he finds rewarding opportunities in the success and growth of his passionate work ethic. Rahul is proud to have Adhir next to him as they welcome Kate to the Wahi family.
Kyle is Kate’s younger brother. He is currently pursuing his golf career as he closes a chapter of high school and pursues his first year of college. Rahul and Kyle have also been very involved through active lifestyles of golf, basketball and anything outdoors. Kyle’s driven attitude in his athletics and education have really cultivated a positive influence between him and Rahul. Spending many days together in the summer, both of these boys really find a good amount of time to laugh and have fun at the Yaeger Residence. Rahul is glad to have Kyle as a brother and next to him on the biggest day of his life.
Eric is Kate’s brother in law and the husband of Megg. They have two beautiful children Leah and Andrew. Eric is an IT Manager at Advantage Chevrolet. When not at work Eric enjoys building crafty projects with Megg, and getting out with the guys to golf or just hang out. Rahul and Eric share a passion for innovative technology, golf, and great American Craft Beer. Eric finds happiness at home with his loving family. A true reflection of a caring husband, and supportive father, Rahul is happy to have Eric next to his side.
Tony is Rahul’s closest friend and business partner. Rahul and Tony started their friendship in an Entrepreneurial class at Eastern Illinois University, since the day they first met it was inevitable this was going to be something great. Starting their first business together in 2003 and selling it off for their newest venture at LLT Group. Tony completed his undergrad and masters in less than four years, and his dedication and passion is a true example of their success together, today. Rahul and Tony have become great business partners, and even closer friends. Rahul is honored to have a great man as Tony stand by his side.
Mike is Rahul and Kate’s friend. Being Kate’s best friend's husband, Rahul shares an eternal bond with the Adams family, as he is the godfather to Mike and Lynne’s beautiful daughter, Piper Marie. She is truly an angelic child, and owns a piece of Rahul and Kate’s heart. Mike and Lynne reside in Godfrey, IL. With many trips back and forth, Mike and Rahul have grown close with their relationship and find great conversations within their passions of craft beer and sports. Rahul is delighted to have Mike stand next to him on this great day.
Paul is Rahul’s childhood best friend. They first met as neighbors and this decade old friendship has sustained another great milestone. Paul is involved in the housing market, where he helps troubled homeowners find opportunity within their financial plans. Rahul and Paul have grown closer and closer being there for each other through the good times and bad. Paul has one of the biggest hearts, and was the first person Rahul introduced Kate to. Paul has been a great spiritual influence to their relationship and a supporter over the past 5 years. Rahul is proud to have another great friend/brother stand next to him.
Andrew is Kate’s nephew and godson. He is two years old and has acquired the nicknames of monster, human tornado, and bubs. So far in Andrew’s short life, he has stolen the hearts of any lady he comes across with his adorable smile and perfect charming personality. Andrew enjoys spending his days knocking things off of shelves, throwing things, playing with toys, being outside, and most importantly, eating. While he doesn’t talk too much yet, he sure does know how to let everyone know when he’s hungry. Rahul and Kate are proud to have Andrew as the highest man of security on their special day.
Megg is Kate’s older sister. Megg teaches second grade in Romeoville. Megg has two beautiful children, Leah and Andrew, who are the most amazing niece and nephew ever. Kate loves to spend as much time with them as she can. Megg is a wonderful mom, wife, teacher, friend, and older sister. She always has way too much on her plate, yet is always willing to take on more to help others. Kate and Megg both share a passion for education, crafting, and sweatpants. Megg has always been a person that Kate could count on no matter what. Kate has always looked up to Megg as a role model and is excited to have Megg by her side on her special day.
Christine is Kate’s older sister. Christine is an educator for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She is enjoying her new role at the hospital, where she is able to use her highest degree to teach nurses new skills and protocols. Christine is a very kind and caring person. She can also tell you anything you need to know about 90210, Doogie Houser, and Full House. Kate and Christine share a passion for baking (cupcakes especially), movies, practical jokes, and a Houlihan’s Buffalo Chicken Salad. Kate has always been able to go to Christine for advice and comfort and cannot be happier to have Christine by her side on her wedding day.
Elyse is Kate’s younger sister. With an eight-year age difference between them, Elyse and Kate have grown to be wonderful friends. Kate sees Elyse as her taller “mini-me.” She is very protective over Elyse, as she is her only younger sister. Elyse is currently a student at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA, pursuing a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. Kate has always admired Elyse for her passion and commitment to children and adults with special needs, as well as her family-oriented demeanor. Elyse and Kate share a passion for shopping, fashion, people with special needs, and ice cream. Kate is honored to have her younger sister stand by her side.
Shristhi is Rahul’s sister-in-law and wife of Adhir. She recently moved to Plainfield from India. She and Kate got off to a wonderful start of a relationship while Kate was in India with Rahul’s family celebrating Shristhi and Adhir’s wedding in November. She has a passion for fine foods, music, and dancing. She enjoys watching movies and shopping as well. Shristhi really looks up to Kate. While she is learning a lot from Kate, Kate also is learning a lot from her.
Lynne is Kate’s college friend. Lynne was the first friend that Kate made at Eastern Illinois University. They have been best friends ever since. Lynne teaches early childhood special education in the Alton area. Even though Lynne lives quite a distance, it hasn’t put a damper on their amazing friendship. Lynne recently became the mother to Kate and Rahul’s goddaughter, Piper, whom they absolutely adore. Kate and Lynne both love a good glass of wine, shopping, and being together. Kate is thankful to have such a wonderful friend to stand by her side.
Bridget is Kate’s cousin. Bridget and Kate grew up together with vacations and sleepovers that included fashion shows, makeovers, cooking shows, weather shows, and any other idea they could imagine! Bridget is an avid Dave Matthews Band follower; she has traveled many places to see their shows. Bridget graduated from Ball State University on the same exact day that Kate graduated from Eastern Illinois University. Bridget and Kate have always been very close cousins, and Kate is so grateful that she has such an amazing cousin to share her day with.
Leah is Kate’s niece. She is a proud pre-schooler this year, where she is learning a lot and sharing all of her knowledge with her friends and family. Leah is an avid story and joke teller. She loves to spend her time playing with her dolls, helping her mommy with things, reading books, and being in charge. Leah loves Doc McStuffins, Toy Story, and Minnie Mouse. She is a very bright, young girl. Kate couldn’t be happier to have the most precious niece and flower girl.
